Mobility Grant for Young Researchers

The Baltic University Programme’s Mobility Grant for Young Researchers aims to develop and strengthen the cooperation among young researchers in the Baltic Sea region. Deadline for applications: 20 March 2020. The grants is intended for researchers working with sustainable development. Open to PhD students and Postdoc scholars from BUP Member Universities. PhD Award 2020

The Baltic University Programme's PhD Award, is given to a PhD work that is judged to be the most qualified according to the following criteria: inter-/multi disciplinary approach, novelty, innovation, and value for promoting sustainable development. Supervisors nominate their PhD students, which must have defended their thesis at a BUP member university during the year 2019. The winner will receive a prize in the form of a diploma and a sum of up to 500€ to cover travel costs and/or accomodation for attending a research conference.For further information please see the BUP PhD Award 2020 announcement.

BUP Finland welcomes two new members

Baltic University Programme welcomes two new member universities in Finland; Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) and Åland University of Applied Sciences. These two are now also members of the BUP Finland's total of nine university members. Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (Satakunnan ammattikorkeakoulu, SAMK) offers both Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programmes taught in English. At SAMK one can study to become an expert in business, engineering, health care, maritime management and tourism.
