Which are the opportunities that COVID-19 brings for reform and innovation in education? Do we also see opposite implications? Baltic University Programme (BUP) is organizing a webinar series where these topics are discussed. Programme changes due to Covid-19

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, the deadlines of BUP PhD Award and BUP Mobility Grants are postponed until April 12. New dates and applications for the BUP Students Conference and EU's Annual Forum for the Baltic Sea Region will be posted in August 2020. We still hope that the dates for BUP Symposium 2020 will be hosted according to the plan.

BUP Teachers Course 2019-2020 almost finished

During March 5-6, the second and last workshop of the course Education for Sustainable Development for Higher Education was held in Lviv, Ukraine. We had the most interesting, inspiring and fruitful days in a beautiful city. Dr Shepherd Urenje from SWEDESD introduced and led the discussion of how to continue with changes in learning. All participants presented their Change projects. Mobility Grant for Young Researchers

The Baltic University Programme’s Mobility Grant for Young Researchers aims to develop and strengthen the cooperation among young researchers in the Baltic Sea region. Deadline for applications: 20 March 2020. The grants is intended for researchers working with sustainable development. Open to PhD students and Postdoc scholars from BUP Member Universities. PhD Award 2020

The Baltic University Programme's PhD Award, is given to a PhD work that is judged to be the most qualified according to the following criteria: inter-/multi disciplinary approach, novelty, innovation, and value for promoting sustainable development. Supervisors nominate their PhD students, which must have defended their thesis at a BUP member university during the year 2019. The winner will receive a prize in the form of a diploma and a sum of up to 500€ to cover travel costs and/or accomodation for attending a research conference.For further information please see the BUP PhD Award 2020 announcement.

BUP Finland in cooperation with students

Last spring BUP Finland cooperated with the course Sustainable Business at International Marketing, Åbo Akademi University. The result was valuable ideas, suggestions and feedback for our new webpage.
