The CASCADE project brings together civil protection specialists and climate change adaptation experts to build resilience in the Baltic Sea Region. The project aims to improve the capacity to understand, assess, and treat current and future climate change related risks on the local level, focusing on the particular conditions in the Baltic Sea Region.

The project has now come to the point where it is time to present the results.

Welcome to the online event How to make cities more resilient? – Results and recommendations from the CASCADE project.

Time: Tuesday, 8 June 2021 at 10.00-13.00 (CET)

Agenda: Risks related to climate change and disasters are not only the concern for professionals engaged with sustainable development. It is becoming more evident each year that climate change is an emerging security threat, and a field in need of multi-level risk governance. This event will bring forward the results and recommendations from the project.

The online event will:
• launch the Climate Risk Preparedness Toolbox
• discuss what can be done by countries and municipalities to better adapt to climate change and disaster risk
• give overview of climate change adaptation related training and curriculum
• discuss the future of climate change adaptation and resilience

Target group: civil protection specialists, climate change adaptation experts, municipality officials, environmental impact assessment experts
