With eight teams left, who do you think will win the Euro 2020? ⚽️

Did you know that UEFA agreed to proactively use football’s global visibility to inform about and show that there are simple actions we can all take to prevent or minimise or the impact of air pollution?

UEFA's campaign "Cleaner Air, Better Game" is an official associate of the European Green Week, an annual event highlighting initiatives that contribute to the 2050 goal of the European Union’s Green Deal.

As the European Commission Vice-President Frans Timmermans said: Football is a business, yes, but it is also an inspiration to many. By linking football to values like a cleaner future we can inspire also young people who would perhaps not be reached by education and higher education, but are reached by football.

The EURO 2020 finals are set to be one of the most environmentally friendly finals ever. UEFA recognises it cannot go from 100 to zero overnight, but hopes to reach EURO 2024 in Germany equipped with a full package of best-practice actions for more sustainable football events.

One in eight deaths in Europe is linked to air pollution. Around 90 million people play football in Europe. Both very large numbers!

Please, feel free to comment, who will win? 🏆 #euro2020 #UEFA #EUGreenDeal #EUGreenWeek

UEFA's Cleaner Air, Better Game workshop was held earlier in June to support European Green Week, you can watch it online on UEFA's webpage.:
