Åbo Akademi University, where BUP Finland’s National Centre is located, supports Ukrainian university students by offering them the possibility to study courses without fees. There are two different options: Supplementary studies for non-degree students or Open University courses.

The coordinating secretariat at The Baltic University Programme have put together different initiatives in Europe and the rest of the world which aims to help scholars and scientists affected by the war in Ukraine. The Baltic Science Bridge is an initiative by the BUP Associate Secretariat at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. The Baltic Science Bridge is meant to give Ukrainian scholars and scientists an opportunity to live and perform some academic work in a Baltic Sea country which is not part of the conflict.
