BUP Finland 2022 in retrospect

The year 2022 has been turbulent for the whole Baltic University Programme (BUP) cooperation, due to Russia’s offensive war in Ukraine. The situation has a direct and concrete impact on BUP with 17 member universities in Ukraine. The BUP coordinating secretariate reacted immediately and according to the directives from Uppsala University. The result was that the cooperation within BUP can continue, but the member countries diminished from twelve to ten (no member universities from Russia and Belarus). Conference on how to make sustainable consumption and production possible

Institute of Environmental Engineering at Kaunas University of Technology in cooperation with BUP invites you to the 4th international conference “Sustainable Consumption and Production: How to Make it Possible”. The hybrid conference (online and on-place) takes place in KTU Santaka Valley, K. Baršausko str. 59 Kaunas, Lithuania on 10-11 of November 2022. Please note that the deadline for submitting abstracts is 15 of October. The conference is free of charge for 30 participants from BUP participating universities. BUP Finland holds the BUP Presidency in the autumn 2022

The BUP National Centre in Finland holds the BUP Presidency in the autumn 2022. The holder of the BUP Presidency is responsible for the content and arrangement of BUP's annual events. The presidency also includes promotion of the BUP in the own country, along with additional events and activities aimed at strengthening the programme in the country and the region as a whole. The BUP Teachers’ Course starts in September 2022

BUP Teachers’ Course, workshop in Lviv, Ukraine in March 2020. The BUP Teachers’ Course will be arranged again starting in the autumn 2022. The aim is to better integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals into the teaching, courses and study programmes in higher education. The emphasis is on teaching methodology by e-learning and two workshops. The course also includes a project part and a possibility to publish the result of the project in a peer review journal.
