The Baltic University Programme’s PhD Award, is given to a PhD work that is judged to be the most qualified according to the following criteria: inter-/multi disciplinary approach, novelty, innovation, and value for promoting sustainable development.

Supervisors nominate their PhD students, which must have defended their thesis at a BUP member university during the year 2019. The winner will receive a prize in the form of a diploma and a sum of up to 500€ to cover travel costs and/or accomodation for attending a research conference.For further information please see the BUP PhD Award 2020 announcement.
