In 2021 The Baltic University Programme has celebrated 30 years, 1991–2021. Almost all activities during the year have taken place online, but a clear focus has been to pay attention to the history, besides developing new activities.
The webinar series “Space Bridge 2.0”, where all the national centers within BUP have hosted one session each throughout the year, is a part of the celebration year.
BUP Finland hosted the September Space Bridge using the Timeout method on the topic What Does Social Sustainability Means to You?. The on line-session can be watched on Youtube. Also the whole webinar series is available in one same playlist on BUP’s Youtube channel.
At the same time, an active work is ongoing with developing new course materials on the key themes of BUP with the purpose to be open for all member universities. To better connect to the students in the member universities, a call for BUP student ambassadors was open during the spring 2021.
BUP is a flagship project in the policy area of education as part of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR).
