Welcome to the online university course: Introduction to Education for Sustainable Development (5 cr). The course is for students and educators who want to: • Understand ESD and how it broadens the holistic and interdisciplinary understanding of sustainability. • Understand how competencies like critical thinking, future scenarios skills and collaborative decision-making are promoted by ESD. • Understand the role of ESD in both formal and informal learning. • Get an insight of the state of ESD at the own university. This is to inform all BUP colleagues about the current situation for the Baltic University Programme (BUP) as an organisation in light of the war in Ukraine. The BUP strongly condemns Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and offers our wholeheartedly support to those colleagues and students most affected by the war.
